Stress Free

As you may know, there are many relaxation training programs. This program is different because it relies on resources which you already possess but may not know you do. Every time you fall asleep you have to pass through a relaxation phase. (If you don’t, you will stay awake until you do).

The training on this CD makes use of this capacity for relaxation. It aims to help you use this capacity to bring about effective day to-day stress management. It will, in the long term, lower your general level of tension and minimize or eliminate stress related health issues.

To maximize effectiveness I suggest that you seat yourself in a comfortable chair and eliminate all distractions for at least half an hour. Listen actively and participate in the simple and straightforward details of the exercise. (Please note that if you lie down while listening you may fall asleep).

The single most important point of the exercise is that you use your conscious awareness to monitor the relaxation instead of trying to produce it by an effort of the will. Again, your body already knows how to relax and genuine relaxation is not about will power. The next step is to practice until you have established relaxation as a reflex and a habit.
